ABC Kicks off 22nd Annual Conference in California

Attendees from across the globe gather to discuss certification issues.

LA QUINTA, Calif. – January 27, 2009 – Almost 90 professionals have traveled to the West Coast for a conference focusing on environmental certification. The Association of Boards of Certification’s (ABC) Annual Conference offers a platform for discussion of issues affecting today’s water and wastewater treatment industry.

“We’re excited for the next few days, and looking ahead to a productive and informative conference,” Paul Bishop, ABC CEO, said of the week’s events. “There is a lot of discussion on the national scene for developing our nation’s infrastructure, and our members are on the frontline in protecting our nation’s safe drinking water systems.”

Session topics include: Certification Program Perspectives, Partnership – The Key to Success, Training Innovations, Operator Recruitment, Operator Development & Ethics, ABC Visioning, and The Future of Certification and Exams. The conference will conclude Friday with a wrap-up and preview of the 2010 conference, to be held in Jacksonville, Fla., Jan. 26-29.
